Creamy Peppercorn Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed peppercorns and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in cream and stock. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard and fresh thyme if using.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Serve warm over steaks, chicken, or roasted vegetables.
